We are thrilled to share some wonderful news about our classroom book club, which has been an enriching experience for our students this week. The enthusiasm and engagement displayed by our students during these sessions have been nothing short of inspiring. Each week, students will gather to explore the story Wonder by R.J Palacio which will challenge their perspectives and ignite their imaginations. Through lively discussions, collaborative activities, and creative projects, they are not only enhancing their reading skills but also building valuable friendships and fostering a love of literature. The book club will also provide a platform for students to express themselves, share insights, and develop critical thinking skills in a supportive environment. Ms. L. Cooper expects to see remarkable growth as her book club learns to appreciate diverse narratives and perspectives. We encourage families to engage in conversations about the books being read at home! This can further enhance comprehension and enjoyment while allowing students to share their thoughts with loved ones. Thank you for your continued support in nurturing our young readers. 🔔 Important Weather Update - School Closure
In response to the winter weather advisory, all schools will be closed on Friday, January 10, for students and staff. Learning will continue asynchronously for all teachers and students.

After reading Wangari Maathai and the Green Belt Movement, students in Mrs. Griffin’s class got creative! They combined art and knowledge by drawing pictures and sharing facts about the Green Belt Movement, learning how one person’s vision can make a global impact. 🌍✏️
5th graders in Mrs. Whipple’s class are mastering multi-digit multiplication with strategies like the Japanese Model, Area Model, Standard Algorithm, and Partial Product. Problem-solving skills are growing every day! 🔢
As a reminder, Professional Learning Monday will be held tomorrow Monday, December 9. All students will be dismissed early, with Primary/Elementary dismissal at 1:00PM and Middle/High at 1:15PM.
